APT with AmaWaterways’ newest ship, AmaMora, was christened on the Rhine River this week, the third addition to the line’s fleet this year.

AmaMora joins AmaDouro (which debuted on the Douro) and AmaMagna (which debuted on the Danube), both earlier this spring. The line also has announced four more ships to come.

The AmaMora is a sister ship to AmaLea and AmaKristina which were launched last year and in 2017 respectively.

The 156-passenger ship made its first sailing from Amsterdam on June 3 and it will continue sailing classic seven-night Basel to Amsterdam itineraries, “Enchanting Rhine” and “Captivating Rhine”, until November 2019. Thereafter, it will sail Christmas Markets on the Rhine itineraries.

“We are always excited to introduce new ships to our innovative fleet, but this season has been especially rewarding, and significant, for us,” said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-founder of AmaWaterways.

AmaMora was christened by Ensemble Travel Group president Libbie Rice, following the line’s tradition of honoring influential women in the travel industry.

The ship features a top-deck swimming pool and swim-up bar, two restaurants, one lounge, a fitness room, hair salon and massage room. Most of the 78 cabins on board also feature twin balconies, with some including a full step-out balcony.

AmaMora also hosts the line’s new wellness program that provides up to five onboard exercise classes each day, led by a dedicated wellness host, plus guided walks, jogs and cycling ashore in every port of call.
