AmaWaterways with APT will be expanding its European fleet in 2020 with another new ship.

The new 156-passenger AmaSiena is bound for the Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers on a number of itineraries. She’s the sister ship to the AmaMora (arriving later in 2019), AmaLea and AmaKristina.

The ships have connecting staterooms and are also used for the Adventures by Disney charters. The staterooms also have dual French and outdoor balconies, a heated sun deck swimming pool, fitness classes run by dedicated Wellness hosts as well as a massage and salon services.

“We are excited to have a beautiful new ship like AmaSiena with many cruises through one of my personal favorite areas along the Moselle river,” said Kristin Karst, the company’s executive vice president and co-founder.

It will be a big two years for AmaWaterways with APT with the launch of the AmaMagna on the Danube in May. She will be twice as wide as a regular European river ship. It features larger suites between 3350 to 710 square feet with full balconies, multiple dining venues, a large wellness studio, massage rooms, a pop-up Sun Deck bar as well as a water activities platform with a Sundowner boat for excursions.

Also joining the fleet in 2019 is the AmaMora which will sail on the Rhine and the AmaDouro which will cruise on Portugal’s Douro River.
