Crystal River Cruises announced that they will require proof of vaccination prior to sailing on any cruise throughout 2022.

The luxury river cruise line said passengers on any cruise with a departure date up until December 2022 will have to provide documented evidence that they are fully vaccinated. The intention of the vaccine requirement is to give guests more freedom to explore the shore across multi-country destinations.

With a focus on health and safety of the crew, Crystal River Cruises’ senior vice president Walter Littlejohn says, “The health and safety of our guests and crew is paramount to everything we do at Crystal Cruises and as such, we will require full vaccination through 2022 so that our guests can continue to explore the world in great comfort and safety.”

“After months of planning and preparation we welcomed guests back on board in late August and the feedback has been wonderful. Extending the vaccination requirement provides our guests with the health and safety information and assurances they need to plan future travels,” Mr Littlejohn added.

The vaccine requirement supports Crystal Clean measures, which include COVID-19 tests upon embarkation for both guests and crew, temperature checks when returning to the ship after visiting destinations, a mask policy, physical distancing guidelines, enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures and much more.

Crystal staff wear masks in all public areas to give guests extra protection.

The cruise line has reviewed their ventilation system to ensure that all guest suites and public areas feature fresh circulating air.
