Evergreen Cruises has launched its first Asian-based ship on the Mekong River.

The first guests arrived onboard on August 31 and the Emerald Harmony has been specifically designed to cruise into Ho Chi Minh City.

Evergreen has revealed the first images inside the stylish contemporary ship, which has been designed with an Asian flair.

The pictures show the suites and public areas, the sun and pool decks, the Horizon Bar & Lounge, the Lotus Lounger and Reflections Restaurant.

Her design is based on Evergreen’s European Star-Ships.

And in an act towards protecting the environment and helping create a more sustainable world, she is also the first ship in the fleet to remove all single-use plastic on board.

Some other initiatives include providing all guests with a complementary metal water bottle to refill from water stations on the Star-Ship, provision of glass water bottles in the cabins, using bamboo and paper straws in the Reflections Restaurant & Horizon Bar, and the miniature bathroom amenities bottles will be replaced with refillable dispensers.

The line offers an eight-day cruise which has options to add city stays or a tour of Vietnam.
