Riviera Travel, the British cruise line with a dozen five star ships and more to come, is leading a push for solo and single sailings with 11 exclusive sailings next year with all cabins free of any single supplement.

Last month, Riviera  announced 10 sailings in 2020 reserved exclusively for solo travellers, which saves travellers thousands of dollars in supplements.

Now the line has announced a new seven-night cruise departing March 31, 2020, aboard the Jane Austen.

It will follow the majestic Seine River from Paris to the historic, little town of Les Andelys. The cruise ends back in Paris where a tour of the city’s iconic sights is included.

Solo fares are available from $3909, including nine guided excursions, onboard meals and Wi-Fi.

Single travellers have a cabin to themselves without the need to share with other passengers.  Fares and cabins are subject to availability.

Riviera Travel also offers a selection of solo-only cabins on every sailing and every ship all year long.

Riviera Travel offers inclusive, five-star cruises at fares up to 50 per cent lower than river companies more established in Australia.

Bookings are available via Australian travel agents, Cruiseco, Cruise Traveller or visit www.rivieratravel.com.au

The line has also announced a new vessel for 2020 –  the  Geoffrey Chaucer will set sail next year. The 169-passenger vessel will operate on the Danube, Main and Rhine as well as the Dutch waterways.

The ship features two restaurants – a main venue and The Bistro, a smaller restaurant on the ship’s stem that will have an open kitchen and panorama windows so diners can enjoy their meals al fresco.
