Teeming River Cruises, a leader in affordable river cruising, is expanding its offering to the French rivers.

Their seven-day itinerary ‘Colours of the Rhone and Provence’ is on sale from $999 and will be sailing on October 19, 2019.

The journey begins in Lyon and sails down the Rhone to Vienne, Tournon, Viviers, Arles, Avignon before returning to Lyon through Valence.

“The biggest thing about our offering is the price. Our business model is to be the low-price leader for European River Cruises,” says Jeff Paglialonga, co-founder of Teeming River Cruises.

Similar offerings from their competitors like Avalon Waterways are priced from $3,499 and up to $6,990 for Tauck River Cruises.

These French river itineraries are growing in demand as river cruisers are looking to take a break from the German landscape of the tried and true Amsterdam to Basel route, to wine and dine their way through the French countryside.

Teeming is able to offer such prices as they take it back to the basics: a cabin, three meals daily, afternoon tea, midnight snack and a cruise director that will tell you all you need to know about the next port coming up.

Guests will also get complimentary Wi-Fi throughout their journey onboard.

There are no organised tours on Teeming’s river cruises, but guests have complimentary access to an app that guides them through a city walking tour in all ports.

This is perfect for travellers who like to set their own schedule and explore at their own pace.

Teeming’s no-frills approach seems to be taking off with more than a third of the 67 cabins onboard their French sailing already booked out after it was announced early this month.
